Venture capital has a diversity problem . BLCK VC , a new organization founded by Storm Ventures associate Frederik Groce and NEA associate Sydney Sykes to connect, engage and advance black venture capitalists, is ready for a new era in the industry. Adewale  Mayona  Emmanuel popularly known as (MAYORKUN) is a fast rising upcoming artist born on 5th April 1994 at osun state, Nigeria to the popular Adewale family. he attended his primary education at living-spring Montessori collage. he then studied at the university of Lagos where he graduated with BSc in accounting.

He started his music career way back in school but he focuses more on his studies because he knew he had to study and that if he should focus on music his attention will be diverted.

After his graduation, he gave music more time. he worked in a bank after his national youth services year before embracing music fully.

His father encouraged him more when he decided to quit banking Job due to poor salary. meanwhile, he has recorded a song using his cousin's piano in late December 2015 and he shared it on social media in 2016 Davido signed him to his record label the HKN gang label and DMW following mayorkun songs he played on social media.

His first single butty babe was made in 2012, mayorkun music come to a lame light when he released his first Official single under HKN gang and DMW titled "ELEKO" which gained over a million views in few days after its release on YouTube and also topped the I tunes chart as number one.
