Venture capital has a diversity problem . BLCK VC , a new organization founded by Storm Ventures associate Frederik Groce and NEA associate Sydney Sykes to connect, engage and advance black venture capitalists, is ready for a new era in the industry. Their mission: Turn 200 black investors into 400 black investors by 2024. “We think of ourselves as an organization formed by black VCs for blacks VCs to increase the representation of black investors,” Sykes told TechCrunch. “You can look around and say well ‘I know five black VCs,’ but you can also say this firm does not have a single black VC, they may not even have a single underrepresented minority … We want to make firms reckon with the fact that there is a racial diversity problem; there is a lack of black VCs and every firm should really care about it.” BLCK VC has been at work since the beginning of 2018, building and expanding a network of black investors in the San Francisco area, Los Angeles and New York. Ayoleyi Hanniel Solomon Popularly known as (Reekado Banks) is a Nigerian recording artist, singer and songwriter, born on 6th December 1993 at Lagos Nigeria.

He completed his secondary school at the age of 14, And then studied at the University of Lagos, where he graduated with a bachelor degree in history and strategic study. Reekado grew up in a Christian family, his father is a pastor and the mother a caterer.

He started recording his first set of songs in 2008 with the help of his elder brother, who is a producer.

His brother thought him the rudiment of singing, writing and producing.

The super star derived his stage name Reekado Banks by the combination of the two name Reekado meaning "strong ruler" while Banks "wealth" he cited Don Jazzy, 2 face idibia, DJ Jimmy Jatt, Olamide and Mi as his key musical inspirations.

Reekado Banks music came into limelight when his brother submitted some of his song to Mavin Records in an online talent search, which later transformed to the record deal with Mavin Records

In an interview Reekado told national mirror that his brother submitted his songs and communicated with the label on his behalf without his initial consent.

Reekado first single under Mavin Records was titled "Turn it up" featuring Tiwa Savage, the super star was featured with label master Don Jazzy, Korede Bella, Tiwa savage, Di Ja, Dr Sid and D prince on the Hit song " Dorobucci" which was released on May 2014.
