Venture capital has a diversity problem . BLCK VC , a new organization founded by Storm Ventures associate Frederik Groce and NEA associate Sydney Sykes to connect, engage and advance black venture capitalists, is ready for a new era in the industry. Patrick Nnaemeka Okorie popularly known as (patoranking) is a Nigerian reggae-dancehall singer and songwriter; Born on 27th may 1990, to Mr. and Mrs. Okorie at Ijegun Egba Lagos. He received his secondary education at citizen comprehensive collage Epe and later enrolled at Jibri Martin Memorial Grammar school in Iponri.  Patoranking started his musical career as a street jam and carnival dancer, also doing underground collaboration with artist like Konga, Slam, Xproject and Reggie Rockstone. Patoranking started in an interview that his key musical influence was Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, Lucky Dubey, Buju Banton, Tuface and Blackface. He said that the name Patoranking was given to him by Jamaican artist.

In 2010, He signed a record deal with K-solo Igberage Records where he released the song "Up in The Club". Patoranking became affiliated with Dem Mama Records where he released “Alubarika” featuring vocal artist Timaya, although Timaya said patoranking was never official signed under Dem Mama Records. The song was an open door for patoranking, which gave him recognition. He also said the song is a summary of his life story. Patoranking gained more recognition after the release of “Girlie O” which was produced by WizzyPro under the record label Foston Music. He later released the “Girlie O Remix” in 19 May 2014, the song featured vocal artist Tiwa Savage and debuted at No 9 on MTV Base official Naija Top 10 chat. He described his style of music as a moral inclined version of dance hall music.

2015 was a very successful year for the superstar as two of his singles,"Daniella Whine" and "My Woman, My Everything" were chart toppers on the MTV base official Naija Top 10 chart.
