Oluwatobi Wande Ojosipe popularly known as (Wande Coal) is a Nigerian Afrobeat, Afropop, singer and songwriter born on 18th October 1985 in Lagos, to Chief Ibukun Olufunto and Mrs Omolara Oluwayemisi. Coal is the first child in the family of four. He received his secondary education at the Federal government College Lagos. After his College he went on to study Curriculum Studies at the University of Lagos.
Coal started singing in the teenage Chior at his Church; and got his break in the Nigerian entertainment industry as a dancer and later signed to Don Jazzy’s Mo’ Hits Records in 2006.
Coal featured D’Banjs Rundown and Funk you up album on singles such as "Loke", "tonosibe" and "why me".
Being signed to Mo’ Hits records he is also a member of the Mo Hits all stars and played a major role in the released album titled CV (Curriculum Vitae). His first single "Ololufe" has been labeled as one of the greatest love songs ever written by a Nigerian at the time.
