Venture capital has a diversity problem . BLCK VC , a new organization founded by Storm Ventures associate Frederik Groce and NEA associate Sydney Sykes to connect, engage and advance black venture capitalists, is ready for a new era in the industry. Their mission: Turn 200 black investors into 400 black investors by 2024. “We think of ourselves as an organization formed by black VCs for blacks VCs to increase the representation of black investors,” Sykes told TechCrunch. “You can look around and say well ‘I know five black VCs,’ but you can also say this firm does not have a single black VC, they may not even have a single underrepresented minority … We want to make firms reckon with the fact that there is a racial diversity problem; there is a lack of black VCs and every firm should really care about it.” BLCK VC has been at work since the beginning of 2018, building and expanding a network of black investors in the San Francisco area, Los Angeles and New York. The University was founded in 1970. It started as an institute of Technology and was accorded the status of full-fledged University by National University Commission (NUC) on 1st July, 1971. In his Budget Speech in April 1972, the then Military Governor of Mid- Western State, Col. S.O Ogbemudia formally announced the Change of the name of the Institute of Technology to the University of Benin. On 1st April, 1975 the University at ther request of the state Government, was taken over by the Federal Government and beame a Federal University.

 



 

Uniben Admission Requirement


Candidate seeking for admission into 100 level of any degree course in UNIBEN must be qualified for admission before the beginning of the academic session.

Candidate must meet the Following:

 

Uniben Entry Requirement


Uniben admit Minimum age of 16 years into the University degree programmes

 

Undergraduate Programme through UTME

  • Candidate must have an acceptable score in the UTME

  • Candidate must obtain Five (5) Credit passes at SSCE or its equivalent at not more than 2 sittings in relevant subject including English and Mathematics.


For Direct Entry Student

Before you can be admitted into the Direct Entry at Uniben Candidate must possess the Following requirements

  1. Minimum of Credit passes in Five(5) subject including English and Mathematics at SSCE, GCE ‘O’level or equivalent Qualification at not more than two sittings

  2. Most possess an HND, OND, or NCE in relevant Programme of Study.

  3. An acceptable Score prescribed for admission at the Direct Entry Screening Exercise.
