BLCK VC , a new organization founded by Storm Ventures associate Frederik Groce and NEA associate Sydney Sykes to connect, engage and advance black venture capitalists, is ready for a new era in the industry. The University of Uyo was founded in 1991 by the Federal Government of Nigeria. At the time, there existed in Uyo the University of Cross River state which was established in 1981by then Cross River State Government. In 1987 Akwa Ibom State with Headquarters at Uyo was created out of the Cross River state and from that time up to the time of federal government take-over in 1991, the University was jointly owned by Akwa Ibom and Cross River State Governments.
Candidate seeking admission through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) should meet the following requirements
West African School Certificate, General Certificate of Education(‘O’ Level) or Senior Secondary School Certificate with at least credit passes in Five(5) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics and Three other relevant Courses at not more than two sittings or equivalent qualifications
Candidates seeking admission into the university through direct entry should possess, in addition to ‘O’ level requirements one of the following:
NOTE: In addition to the above stated general requirements, Departmental admission requirements stipulated by the University and reflected in the Brochure of Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) must be met by Candidate.
